NJANSAN O AKPI O MUNGUELLA O BOFEKO O WAMA O OKHUEN is a round and blonde seed very present in the Ivory Coast kitchen, but also in Cameroon (The Ndjansan). Its taste is very pronounced and characterized by peanut notes. It shreds or crushes before incorporating into hot preparations. These almonds are the fruit of Ricinodendron heudelotii, an oleaginous tree from tropical forests. They allow us to thicken our preparations: soups, fish broths. It is used as a flavor enhancer in the African kitchen of the forest peoples, such as the ivory kitchen. Ricinodendron heudelotii almonds are relatively rich in protein, fats, phosphorus and potassium. Akpi kernel (Ricinodendron heudelotii) is widely used and the high content of seed oil is suitable for use in soap and varnish factories. Akpi is valued for its medicinal properties and is used as a remedy against constipation, dysentery, eye infections and female sterility. It is also an antidot. Sold in 100g airtight packaging
