Description

  • ORIGIN: Our Honeybush tea is made from the leaves and stems of the Cyclopia plant, indigenous to South Africa. Like its cousin Rooibos, Honeybush has been used for centuries in South African traditional medicine and is gaining popularity worldwide.
  • ABOUT: Honeybush tea is named for its sweet, honey-like aroma and taste, which is more delicate than rooibos tea. Its flavour can be described as floral, fruity, and slightly woody.
  • BENEFITS: Unlike traditional black or green tea, Honeybush tea is naturally caffeine-free. It is rich in antioxidants, particularly xanthones and flavanones and also contains trace amounts of minerals such as iron, potassium, calcium, copper, magnesium and more
  • USES: Drink on its own or add honey, lemon, or milk to enhance its natural sweetness and flavour. Honeybush tea can also be served iced, making it a refreshing alternative to sugary drinks.
  • BREWING: Allow 1- 1 teaspoon per cup. Boil the water and wait until the rumbling stops before pouring it onto the leaves. Steep for 3 to 5 minutes. The brewing time and water temperature can be adjusted based on personal preferences.
